FOODS TO AVOID

First of all, there are a few foods you are going to want to avoid that may make things worse.

This mostly consists of anything greasy or spicy. These things are not easy on your stomach and will definitely make things worse if you are getting sick during pregnancy.

FOODS THAT HELP

Ginger – Think ginger ale, ginger tea, and even ginger suckers!

Peppermint – Peppermint tea, candies or essential oils can all be helpful.

Sour candies – Anything sour!

Foods high in protein – Greek yogurt, nuts, and peanut butter are all foods that tend to go down easy and are high in protein.

Alkalizing Foods – These types of foods help bring your body’s acidic balance back to normal, which helps keep the nausea away. These foods include watermelon, cucumber, lemon, avocado, carrots, garlic, and coconut water to name a few!

Another tip is to try and never let yourself get hungry. Always have something bland around, like cheerios or soda crackers that are easy on the stomach and keep you somewhat nourished.

It may be hard to get things down sometimes but it’s important to stay hydrated and nourished. If you can’t do these things you may need to seek out your doctor about a prescription.
